Match report For clueless dimwits, LUBS stands for Leeds University Business School. Fancy not knowing that. How embarassing. The 3rd XV took main stage today when the 1st's game was cancelled. The Mods' 3rd XV has been more than just handy for a few seasons now so it was a good opportunity for the lads to showcase their stuff away from Dogshit Arena. LUBS only field one team so it was a mixed bunch of stars and dead planets who gave us a bit of a pasting in the first period. Playing uphill into the strong wind was never going to be easy and a half time deficit of 0-24 was testamony to the tricky conditions. I was on the golf course for the second half but a formidable rally must have been launched as tries by TOM WOOLSEY, HENRY SAUNDERS AND SIMON HALFORD-THOMPSON severely tested LUBS' comfort levels. It has been suggested that it took the referee so long to write SImon's name in his scorebook the match was delayed for a crucial 5 minutes at a time the Mods' were threatening to score with every touch. Simon has been instructed not to score until the team is well in front in future. Conje. Conje.
