A try to Hornsea's full back in the left hand corner after 3 minutes proved decisive. Despite holding at least 50% of the territory up the hill we could only muster a FRASER penalty which was offset before half time by a penalty from Hornsea.
The second half was nearly all Mods' pressure but determined defence from Hornsea repelled every Mods' drive for the line. A succession of penalties/free kicks to Mods in the last 6 minutes led to incessant pressure and frenzied supporters but we just couldn't breach the Hornsea line.
