Playing uphill against the wind, sun and slope Mods were pegged back for 70% of the first period. During an early sortie into opposition territory ANDERSON chased down a Beeforth kick for the first points. Beefy made a double hash of a straightforward conversion attempt. 5-0 (5 mins.). Further attempts to gain control were seriously hampered by our inability to maintain possession but stern commitment to defence saw us turn round only 12 -5 behind. A much improved second half saw us totally dominate and 12 points were scant reward for our advantage. ANDERSON's 2nd try and one from Jason Taylor, added to by a penalty from BEEFORTH and a conversion from the very same BEEFORTH led us home 20-12.
